Offices & meeting rooms / APPLICATION GUIDE

Give conversations a better setting.

Glazed meeting rooms and flexible workspaces often need softer surfaces and control over daylight. Curtains can add targeted absorption, create visual separation and improve camera backgrounds for meetings.

THE ROOM & THE REQUIREMENT

Meeting reflections & visual separation.

A curtain across an open-plan area can screen the view while leaving many paths for sound to travel. Meeting-room treatment should distinguish room reflections from confidential speech privacy and noise transmission.

01

Soften reflective meeting surfaces

Treat selected glazing or walls where room reflections affect conversation and microphone pickup.

02

Manage screen glare

Use an appropriate light-control fabric at windows near displays and video-call positions.

03

Create visual boundaries

Retractable drapes can define a meeting or focus area while retaining a flexible layout.

PLACEMENT & SPECIFICATION

Make the detail
fit the room.

Plan curtain runs around the room’s reflective perimeter and keep glazing stack zones, doors and ventilation coordinated.

Performance boundaryAn ordinary absorptive curtain is not a confidential meeting-room partition. Sound can pass through the cloth and around its edges.

What to establish

Privacy requirement
State whether the requirement is visual screening, lower reverberation or confidential speech separation.
Meeting technology
Check microphone, camera and display positions before placing curtains.
Workplace use
Consider cleaning, daily operation and how the open curtain affects circulation.

Confirm the selected material’s certificates, care requirements and the final track and fixing design for your installation.

YOUR PROJECT BRIEF

Bring the room
into the conversation.

Floor plans, meeting and video-call positions, window orientation, desired visual privacy and any confidentiality requirement.

Discuss your project ↗
Can a curtain make an open meeting area private?

It can provide visual privacy. Acoustic confidentiality needs a designed separating construction and verification of all sound paths; it should not be promised from an absorption result.
