Do acoustic curtains soundproof a room?
They can help control reflections and reverberation when appropriately specified. Absorption evidence does not establish sound insulation through a wall or the amount of noise reaching a neighbouring room. See the testing section for the exact measured assemblies.
How do I measure?
Measure the total planned coverage across the track and the finished cloth drop, then choose one curtain or a pair. Do not enter the window width if the track extends beyond it. The visual guide explains top references, overlaps, returns and recesses.
Can I enter centimetres or millimetres?
Yes. The configurator converts between cm and mm. The width is the total coverage across all selected panels; it divides that width equally between them.
Which headings are available?
Pencil pleat is included. Wave adds 5% and double pinch pleat adds 10% to the fabric and lining retail subtotal. The additions are alternatives. Wave needs a compatible track and carrier arrangement.
Does a heading improve acoustic performance?
A heading influences the folds and installed fullness. The name of the heading alone does not establish an acoustic improvement. Match the fabric, layers, fullness and wall cavity with the relevant test setup.
What is included in the live price?
The displayed curtain price includes the chosen fabric, lining where selected, making and heading choice. Track, hardware, delivery and installation are separate items to confirm in the proposal.
Why can I not configure every fabric or colour?
Made-to-measure ordering is available only where a verified cut-metre option exists. Missing or full-roll-only options are unavailable in the configurator. Contact us to discuss a separate project requirement.
How is stock checked?
Send the prepared order enquiry from your email app. We check availability and confirm the final specification and order by email. Preparing the draft does not reserve stock or submit an order automatically.
Can I add lining?
Yes. The standard and blackout lining options are both 138 cm wide. Each layer has its own metre calculation; additional available lining choices retain their specified roll widths. Check compatibility and care before ordering.
Will blackout fabric make the room completely dark?
Light can travel around the top, sides and centre even where the cloth blocks light. Plan the complete opening, track, returns and overlap. Dimout and blackout are different fabric specifications.
Can you supply and install across the UK?
We discuss supply, survey and installation requirements for UK projects. Send the postcode, access details, room photographs and dimensions so the scope and arrangements can be confirmed.
How should I clean the curtains?
Follow the instructions for the exact face fabric, lining and finish. Some treatments or coatings can be affected by unsuitable cleaning. Identify the material and request its current care sheet before washing, steaming or applying chemicals.
